Tupac was born in 1971 in the Bronx, New York. Despite his thug image, he moved to Baltimore where he attended its High School for the Performing Arts. He then moved to Marin City in California. In 1991 he released his debut album "2PACALYPSE NOW". It became notorious when a lawyer claimed a man accused of killing a Texas trooper had been riled up by the record. He followed that with "Strictly 4 my N.I.G.G.A.Z" in 93, and featured with Thug Life on "volume 1"in 94 . In 1994 there was an attempt on 2pac's life in New York . He was shot no less than five times. Tupac implicated Bad Boy Producer Sean "Puffy" Combs and the Notorious B.I.G. in the shooting . His third solo album "Me Against The World" spent four weeks at number one in 1995. That year he was up in court on gun and sexual assault charges. He was cleared on the gun charges but sentenced to 4� years for sexual assault to be served in the Clinton Correctional Facility.
Death Row
Eight months later, 2pac's case came up for appeal, and Death Row chairman Suge Knight payed the $1.4 million bail and signed 2pac to Death Row Records. His ground-breaking Death Row debut double album "All Eyez On Me" sold millions worldwide, had a number one single, and had tracks with Snoop Doggy Dogg and Dr.Dre.
Murdered
September 7, 1996 - 2pac had been attending a Mike Tyson fight in Las Vegas. Suge Knight was driving Shakur on East Flamingo Road when a gunman pulled up along side them and emptied a semi-automatic pistol into the passenger side. Tupac was hit four times in the chest and abdomen. He was pronounced dead at 4:03 p.m six days later on the 13th.

-In Yonkers he used to do turntable showdowns. They used to last about 1-2 hours! He got payed a lot of money since the crowd gcame by the hundreds.
-(Alright, I live in the same county that X grew up in live Westchester County. My newspaper always has X news. Actually, YO (Yonkers) is only 8 min. away from my house.) Anyways, DMX is the biggest music hit out of Westchester since one of the most popular jazz acts: Ella Fitzgerald.
